Teignmouth Harbour Commissioners are proud to announce that their new pilot vessel, the Storm Siren II, has been formally named and blessed on Thursday the 21st of November. The Storm Siren II has replaced the Syd Hook who, after many years of service, has been decommissioned from her role as Teignmouth Harbour’s Pilot Boat. Chair of the Teignmouth Harbour Commissioners, Jo Sparks said, “The purchase and bringing online of the Storm Siren II is a clear commitment by the Commissioners in our duty as both a Statutory and Competent Harbour Authority”. Storm Siren II is undergoing a vigorous shakedown with her crew and is due into service early December.
