Calling All Mooring Holders
The 63rd Shaldon Water Carnival will take place on Saturday 3rd August and one of its highlights is the unique Parade of Decorated Boats. This nautical fancy dress parade is the only one of its kind in the country and is great fun – a spectacle in which lots of brilliant boats are dressed up and assembled off Shaldon Beach to impress the judges and win substantial cash prizes.
There are three entry categories……..
- Boats under Power
- Paddleboards, Canoes and Kayaks
- Seine Boats and Dinghies
First place in each category wins £100, second place wins £75, and third place gets £50. The more entrants the better, registration is easy….. and free. Just go to the Committee Tent on Shaldon Beach earlier in the day and complete an entry form.
Event Timing, Saturday 3rd August……
Up to 16.30 – Free registration at the Committee tent on Shaldon Beach
16.45 – Boats Assemble.
17.00 – Boat Parade.
17.45 – Prize Giving on the beach
